Amazfit may be getting ready to expand its performance-focused smartwatch lineup with a new model called the Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra. While the company hasn’t formally announced it yet, recent clues suggest the launch is getting close, and fans of rugged fitness watches could soon have another option to consider.
The “Cheetah 2 Ultra” name has already surfaced in a product listing filed with Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), which often signals that a wearable is moving through the final stages before release. Adding to the momentum, Amazfit’s Malaysia social media channel shared a teaser image of an upcoming round smartwatch. The post doesn’t reveal the product name, but it gives several design hints that strongly point to a Cheetah-series device.
In the teaser, the watch silhouette shows a circular case with two buttons on the right side, plus a crown. That crown is the biggest visible change compared to the current Cheetah 2 Pro design and could suggest easier menu navigation, improved usability during workouts, or more precise control when using the watch with sweaty hands or gloves. The casing also appears to have cut-outs near the strap area, a styling detail that matches what’s been seen on the recently released Cheetah 2 Pro.
The teaser text keeps things minimal but clear, using the phrases “Refined Performance” and “Coming soon. Stay Tuned.” That wording suggests the smartwatch will target runners, training enthusiasts, and outdoor users who care about durability, tracking accuracy, and long battery life.
Since Zepp Health (the company behind Amazfit) hasn’t confirmed the Cheetah 2 Ultra publicly, the exact differences between it and the Cheetah 2 Pro remain unknown beyond the added crown. Still, it’s reasonable to expect the Cheetah 2 Ultra to build on what the Cheetah 2 Pro already offers. That includes an AMOLED display for bright, high-contrast visibility, GPS for tracking runs and routes, a battery life rated up to 20 days depending on usage, and a built-in flashlight that can be useful for early morning or nighttime training.
As for the release timeline, there’s no official date yet. However, current rumors point to a potential launch window around May 2026. If that’s accurate, Amazfit could be preparing to reveal more details soon, including full specifications, pricing, and which countries will get the smartwatch first.
For now, the biggest takeaway is simple: an Amazfit Cheetah 2 Ultra smartwatch appears to be on the way, and early signs hint at a familiar Cheetah design with a more premium, performance-refined control setup thanks to the addition of a crown.
