Amazfit Balance 2: How Zepp Health Tackles Smartwatch Feature Gaps

The Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch has seen early users pointing out the absence of two much-anticipated features. Launched in China in May 2025 and globally in June, users have been eager to explore its capabilities. However, the BioCharge metric and Golf app, widely discussed in promotional material and reviews, have not been included for everyone.

A representative from Zepp Health clarified via social media that the BioCharge feature was intentionally withheld. The company is refining it specifically for the smartwatch format, though it’s already available on the Helio Strap. The release for Balance 2 remains uncertain as it undergoes final beta testing.

Regarding the Golf mode, it was removed in some areas due to low initial demand. While the list of regions without this feature hasn’t been disclosed, there has been noticeable user interest in its return, yet no definitive plans to reintroduce it have been announced.

Meanwhile, in China, a software update for the Balance 2 added scuba diving capabilities, three HYROX Training Modes, and a safety light for nighttime workouts. However, the timeline for the next global update remains unclear. The watch still promises a solid feature set, with ongoing enhancements to come.
