Akasa is expanding its small form factor cooling options with a fresh batch of low-profile CPU coolers built for modern Intel and AMD systems. The new VIPER, SOHO, and ALUCIA series are designed to solve a familiar problem for compact PC builders: getting strong thermal performance without running into height clearance issues in tight Mini-ITX and slim desktop cases.
In total, Akasa is rolling out four models across three lineups, each offered in multiple color variants. Across the board, compatibility is broad, covering the latest Intel LGA 1851 and AMD AM5 platforms, while still supporting popular older sockets including LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 115X, and AMD AM4. That makes these coolers an appealing choice not only for new builds, but also for upgrades where space is limited and a full-size tower cooler isn’t an option.
Leading the launch is the VIPER H6L M2, Akasa’s flagship low-profile model aimed at higher performance systems. It stands 76 mm tall and is rated to handle up to 165W, positioning it for powerful mid-range CPUs and even some higher-end chips that end up in compact enclosures. It comes in black or white and uses a 120 mm PWM silent fan with an S-Flow blade design, pushing up to 83.63 CFM of airflow—useful for keeping temperatures under control when case airflow is restricted.
Next is the SOHO H6L M2, which leans into aesthetics while staying performance-focused. It’s rated for 160W TDP and is slightly taller than the VIPER at 77.6 mm. The SOHO model is offered in two themed finishes: Dawn (white) and Dusk (black). It also adds a 120 mm aRGB fan, designed to be controlled through common motherboard RGB software, making it a good fit for compact builds where lighting is part of the look.
Rounding out the lineup is ALUCIA, which includes two distinct cooler variants meant for different clearance needs. These models appear to share a similar heatsink design to the VIPER and SOHO units, using six copper heat pipes to move heat away from the CPU quickly and efficiently. The difference comes down to fan thickness and height.
The ALUCIA H6LS M2 is the most clearance-friendly option in the group. By pairing the heatsink with a slim 120 mm fan, it drops total height to just 67.2 mm, which can be a crucial advantage in ultra-compact cases. It’s rated for 150W and is available in Hadal Black and Photic Blue color options. For builders who can spare a bit more room and want extra thermal headroom, the ALUCIA H6L M2 steps up to a 160W rating with a standard 120 mm fan in a photic blue/black styling.
Here’s a quick overview of the models and key specs:
– VIPER H6L M2: 165W, 76 mm, 120 mm PWM fan, black or white
– SOHO H6L M2: 160W, 77.6 mm, 120 mm aRGB fan, Dawn (white) or Dusk (black)
– ALUCIA H6L M2: 160W, 77.6 mm, standard 120 mm fan, photic blue/black
– ALUCIA H6LS M2: 150W, 67.2 mm, slim 120 mm fan, Hadal Black or Photic Blue
Akasa says the new low-profile coolers are launching across multiple regions, including Europe, North America, and Asia, though pricing hasn’t been announced yet. For anyone building a compact Intel LGA 1851 or AMD AM5 system—or upgrading an older AM4 or LGA 1700 build—this lineup looks aimed at delivering strong cooling performance while keeping height and compatibility headaches to a minimum.
