Adobe Max 2025: AI Supercharges Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, Lightroom, and Firefly

Adobe is supercharging Creative Cloud with a wave of AI upgrades announced at Adobe Max 2025, bringing faster workflows and smarter tools to Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator, and Firefly. The focus is clear: cut down tedious steps, boost creativity, and let creators move from idea to finished work with far less friction.

Photoshop now taps into more generative AI models that turn text prompts into images you can immediately use. A new Harmonize feature intelligently blends those AI-generated elements into your existing photos, matching lighting, color, and tone so composites look natural. For extra detail and clarity, AI image upscaling powered by Topaz Labs helps enlarge images while preserving quality.

Premiere adds AI Object Mask to streamline rotoscoping and effects work. It quickly isolates subjects so you can apply precise SFX or color treatments without painstaking manual masking. Editors also get a broad set of GPU-accelerated transitions and effects that run in real time, helping you iterate faster and keep the creative flow going.

Illustrator picks up thoughtful quality-of-life upgrades, including live brush previews that show how strokes will look as you draw. Even more impressive, you can now rotate 2D vector artwork in 3D; Firefly integration automatically redraws characters and objects from the new angle, making perspective changes and product mockups dramatically easier.

Firefly itself becomes more personal and more professional. Creators can tailor the model to their own look and style, generating images that align with uploaded references. For teams and enterprises, Firefly Foundry offers a managed environment that houses a company’s intellectual property, enabling on-brand generation of images, audio, and video for exclusive use.

Adobe previewed many additional AI features during its opening keynote, underscoring how rapidly Creative Cloud is evolving. All of these capabilities are available through an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, giving designers, photographers, illustrators, and editors a powerful set of AI-driven tools to create at the speed of imagination.
