Acer Nitro XV273U F5 brings 540Hz QHD gaming and a 1,000Hz esports mode for $699.99
Acer is preparing to launch one of its most aggressive esports monitors yet in the US. The Acer Nitro XV273U F5 has appeared on Amazon ahead of release, giving competitive gamers a closer look at a 27-inch display built around extreme refresh rates, fast response times, and high-end gaming features.
The biggest highlight is its dual-mode performance. In its native mode, the Nitro XV273U F5 runs at 2560 x 1440 resolution with a blazing-fast 540Hz refresh rate. That already places it among the fastest QHD gaming monitors available. For players who prioritize speed above all else, the monitor can also switch to a 1,000Hz mode at 1280 x 720 resolution, delivering even lower latency for fast-paced esports titles.
This makes the XV273U F5 especially appealing for competitive shooters, battle royale games, racing titles, and any game where reaction time matters. While 1440p at 540Hz offers a sharp and smooth experience, the 720p 1,000Hz option is aimed at players who want the most responsive gameplay possible.
Acer has listed the monitor with a $699.99 price tag. At the moment, it is shown as temporarily out of stock, so buyers will need to wait for official availability. Acer previously indicated that the monitor would arrive in North America in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Acer Nitro XV273U F5 uses a matte 27-inch IPS panel, which should provide strong viewing angles and good color performance compared with traditional TN panels. Acer rates the monitor at a 1 ms response time, with the option to reach 0.5 ms using overdrive. As always, real-world response performance may depend on the selected settings and how well the panel handles motion at different refresh rates.
For smoother gameplay, the monitor supports both AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync compatibility. These features help reduce screen tearing and stuttering when frame rates fluctuate, which is especially useful in demanding competitive games.
The display is also designed to offer more than just speed. It reaches up to 400 nits of brightness in standard SDR mode and up to 600 nits in HDR. Acer has included VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification, giving the monitor better HDR capability than many basic gaming displays. It also covers 95% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, making it suitable for gamers who want vivid colors as well as high refresh rates.
Connectivity is another strong point. The Nitro XV273U F5 includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 connections. Acer says all of these ports can support up to 1440p at 540Hz, giving users flexibility when connecting gaming PCs or compatible devices.
With its combination of QHD resolution, 540Hz refresh rate, optional 1,000Hz mode, HDR support, wide color coverage, and adaptive sync compatibility, the Acer Nitro XV273U F5 is shaping up to be a serious contender in the premium esports monitor market.
At $699.99, it targets players who want cutting-edge speed without stepping into the much higher price range of some flagship gaming displays. For competitive gamers looking for one monitor that can handle both sharp 1440p visuals and ultra-fast 720p gameplay, the Acer Nitro XV273U F5 could become one of the most interesting gaming monitor releases of 2026.
