Abxylute Reveals Launch Date for N6 and N9C Controllers Built for Nintendo Switch 2

After months of anticipation, Abxylute has confirmed the launch date for its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 controller lineup, giving handheld players a new alternative to the standard Joy-Cons 2. The company’s N6 deck-style controller is officially set to debut on February 18, arriving at the same time as the newly revealed N9C controller, which takes inspiration from a classic GameCube-style layout.

Abxylute first introduced the N6 back in August as a full controller replacement that attaches to the Nintendo Switch 2 and connects via USB-C. Since then, fans have been waiting for a firm release window, and the latest update finally delivers. According to Abxylute, both the N6 and the N9C will launch through Kickstarter, giving early supporters a chance to back the project and secure a unit through the crowdfunding campaign.

Notably, the previously teased Abxylute N9 model, which was originally revealed alongside the N6, won’t be joining the February 18 launch. Abxylute says it’s still in development, so anyone interested in that version will need to wait longer for additional updates.

In terms of features, Abxylute is positioning the N6 and N9C as premium Switch 2 controllers built for customization and competitive play. Both models connect through USB-C and include a 9-axis gyroscope for motion controls, a dedicated C-button designed for voice chat access, turbo mode, macro support, and adjustable vibration for a more tailored feel across different games.

The N6, in particular, adds several enthusiast-friendly upgrades. It uses Hall Effect joysticks aimed at improving long-term durability and reducing stick drift concerns. Abxylute also includes anti-friction metal rings and a 23-degree stick angle, compared to the 18-degree angle found on standard Joy-Con designs, which could appeal to players who prefer a slightly different thumbstick position and response. On the back, the N6 features two customizable rear buttons, while the ABXY buttons and D-pad use conductive rubber for a more traditional, tactile input feel.

Color options are also part of the appeal. The Abxylute N6 is planned in Translucent Black and Indigo Purple, while the N9C will be offered in Indigo Purple.

With its USB-C connection, motion controls, macro options, and Hall Effect sticks, Abxylute’s N6 and N9C could be compelling Nintendo Switch 2 controller alternatives for players who want more control, comfort, and customization than the default setup. February 18 is the date to watch if you’re interested in backing either controller when the Kickstarter campaign goes live.
