Xreal 1 Pro Plus AR Glasses Launch With Brighter Visuals, 3D Conversion, and Improved Comfort
Xreal has introduced the Xreal 1 Pro Plus, a new pair of AR glasses designed for users who want a portable big-screen experience for movies, games, work, and connected devices. Building on the earlier Xreal 1 Pro, the new model keeps the lightweight wearable design while adding several upgrades aimed at comfort, image quality, and usability.
The Xreal 1 Pro Plus connects through USB-C with DisplayPort Alternate Mode support, making it compatible with a wide range of devices, including laptops, smartphones, game consoles, and drones. Once connected, the glasses create a virtual display in front of the user, offering a more immersive way to watch videos, play games, or view content without needing a physical monitor.
Each eye gets a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution image through 0.55-inch Sony Micro-OLED displays. The glasses also feature a 57-degree field of view, giving users a wide virtual screen while keeping the device compact enough for everyday use. Brightness reaches up to 1,200 nits, which should help deliver clearer visuals in different lighting environments.
One of the standout features is adjustable electrochromic dimming. This allows wearers to control how much of the real world remains visible while using the AR display. Users can make the lenses more transparent when they want to stay aware of their surroundings or darker when they want a more focused viewing experience.
The Xreal 1 Pro Plus also supports both regular 2D content and 2D-to-3D video conversion at 60 frames per second. This conversion is handled directly by the glasses using the built-in X1 processor, meaning users can enjoy a more immersive 3D-style experience without needing extra hardware. AI HDR image optimization is also included to enhance contrast, color, and overall picture quality.
Audio has been upgraded with Sound by Bose, giving the glasses a more premium entertainment feel. This makes the Xreal 1 Pro Plus more appealing for users who want an all-in-one portable cinema or gaming setup without carrying external speakers or headphones.
Xreal has added three display modes to better suit different activities. Standard mode is designed for general use, Gaming mode focuses on a smoother and more responsive experience, and Reading mode is optimized for text clarity and comfort during longer sessions. Another useful feature is the ability to anchor the virtual screen in 3D space, so the display stays in place rather than moving every time the user turns their head.
Comfort has also received attention. The Xreal 1 Pro Plus includes adjustable optics to help align the screens properly with each eye. A redesigned nose pad has been added as well, making the glasses easier to adjust and more comfortable for extended wear. These changes should make a noticeable difference for users who plan to use the glasses for long gaming sessions, streaming, or productivity.
Despite the added features, the Xreal 1 Pro Plus remains a lightweight AR glasses option for people who want a large virtual display without carrying a bulky headset. It is positioned as a versatile accessory for entertainment, gaming, travel, and mobile productivity.
The Xreal 1 Pro Plus is priced at $599. Orders begin on October 15, 2026 through the company’s official store, with availability through its Amazon storefront starting October 29, 2026.
