As the name suggests, this special model stands out with a transparent-style case that gives the watch a futuristic, high-end look while still keeping the clean design language associated with Xiaomi’s smartwatch range.
To make the limited-edition design more durable, Xiaomi has equipped the Watch S5 Transparent Edition with Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0. This technology is designed to improve scratch resistance, helping the watch better handle everyday wear. The transparent case is paired with a stainless steel bezel, adding a more polished and premium finish to the overall appearance.
The Watch S5 Transparent Edition is not just another color option. Xiaomi is positioning it as a collector-focused release, with production limited to only 5,000 units. Because of this very small release number, the smartwatch is expected to remain exclusive to China, making a wider global launch unlikely.
Pricing also reflects its special-edition status. The Xiaomi Watch S5 Transparent Edition is priced at CNY 2,499, which is approximately $372. That makes it significantly more expensive than the standard Watch S5, which launched in China at CNY 1,099, or around $163. Other versions, including the Forged Carbon and Midnight Blue models, were priced at CNY 1,299, or about $193.
With its transparent design, scratch-resistant Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0, stainless steel bezel, and limited production run, the Xiaomi Watch S5 Transparent Edition is clearly aimed at buyers who want a smartwatch that feels more exclusive.
