Xiaomi Unveils a Versatile New Smart Home Gadget That Does It All

Xiaomi has expanded its smart home lineup in China with the launch of the Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater G20, a new multi-functional bathroom device designed to heat, ventilate, and freshen the room faster and more efficiently. Arriving alongside the Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater G10, the G20 brings a couple of notable upgrades aimed at improving comfort and air quality in small spaces like bathrooms.

The standout improvement is its 2,800W graphene heating element. Xiaomi says this more powerful heating system can warm up a room in under a minute, which is especially appealing on cold mornings or in homes where bathrooms lose heat quickly. To complement rapid heating, the G20 also features a dual DC inverter motor that allows ventilation and heating to run at the same time, helping keep the air from feeling stuffy while the temperature rises.

Air hygiene is another key focus. The Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater G20 includes an integrated plasma generator that’s claimed to deliver a 99.9% sterilization rate. For everyday use, Xiaomi also highlights its ventilation performance, with a maximum airflow rate of 240m³/h. In practical terms, that level of airflow is positioned to clear bathroom odors in about two minutes, making the G20 useful beyond just heating—especially after showers or in windowless bathrooms.

Lighting is built in as well. Xiaomi has integrated an LED light designed to provide “natural” lighting, adding a functional ceiling light option without needing a separate fixture. Control is handled through a Bluetooth remote that includes a 3-inch LCD screen, and it can be mounted on a nearby wall for quick access.

As a smart home product, the G20 supports HyperOS Connect and can be managed remotely through Xiaomi’s app, with voice command support for hands-free control. That means users can start heating before stepping into the bathroom, adjust settings from another room, or manage ventilation without having to reach for the wall remote.

Pricing in China is set at CNY 999 (around $145). Xiaomi has not announced plans to release the Mijia Smart Bathroom Heater G20 in other regions, such as Europe, at this time.
