Xiaomi is expanding its smart home appliance range with a new 10kg front-load washing machine designed to make laundry cleaner, smarter, and more convenient. The latest model, called the Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolytic Smart Drum 10kg, introduces built-in electrolysis technology that helps improve hygiene and washing performance.
The key feature of this new Xiaomi washing machine is its electrolysis function. The system uses an electrical current to partially split water molecules, creating active oxygen during the wash cycle. This active oxygen is designed to help fight bacteria, reduce odors, and improve the brightness of fabrics. While the technology adds an extra layer of cleaning power, detergent is still needed to achieve the best washing results.
To make laundry easier, Xiaomi has also included automatic detergent dosing. Instead of guessing how much detergent to use for each load, the washing machine can detect the laundry amount and dispense the right quantity automatically. Xiaomi claims the system can measure detergent with an accuracy of 0.75 milliliters, helping reduce waste while preventing under-dosing or over-dosing.
For users who prefer more control, the machine also allows manual detergent adjustments. This can be useful for heavily soiled clothes, delicate fabrics, or specific washing preferences.
As expected from a Xiaomi smart home product, the new Mijia Washing Machine Pro is built to work within the company’s connected ecosystem. Users can access a range of specialized wash programs, including a 36-minute cycle aimed at stronger cleaning performance and a 12-minute quick wash for lightly worn clothing.
Pet owners may also find the appliance appealing. Xiaomi says the washing machine can remove more than 90 percent of pet hair, making it a practical option for households with cats, dogs, or other furry companions.
The washing machine has a 10kg capacity, which makes it suitable for families or users who regularly wash larger loads such as bedding, towels, and bulky clothing. With smart features, automated detergent control, fast wash modes, and electrolysis-assisted cleaning, Xiaomi is positioning the appliance as a modern solution for everyday laundry care.
The Mijia Washing Machine Pro Super Electrolytic Smart Drum 10kg is currently available in China for around $375. Xiaomi has not yet confirmed whether the model will be released in international markets.
