Wuthering Waves Version 3.7 arrives September 30 with Hsin, Suoming, new quests, Replay Mode, and major quality-of-life upgrades
Wuthering Waves Version 3.7 is set to launch globally on September 30, 2026, bringing one of the game’s most important updates yet. Titled “Prism’s Illusion, Heart’s Illumination,” the new patch will go live after scheduled server maintenance and promises a major story finale, new 5-star Resonators, fresh areas to explore, permanent and limited-time events, and several long-requested gameplay improvements.
The highlight of Wuthering Waves 3.7 is the conclusion of the Xuanfang storyline. Players will continue the main narrative through Main Quest Chapter IV Act IV, “Simulacrum of the Heart,” which is expected to bring key emotional and story-driven moments to the current arc. After completing the main quest, players will also unlock a new Tales Quest called “Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing,” adding more character-focused content for those who want to dive deeper into the world and its lore.
The update also introduces a new explorable area known as the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou. This region is made up of several connected zones, including the Heartscape Labyrinth and four elemental “Heart” regions. With its dreamlike structure and layered design, the Simulacrum Nexus looks set to become one of the most distinctive areas in Wuthering Waves so far.
Two new 5-star Resonators are joining the playable roster in Version 3.7. The first is Hsin, Mengzhou’s first playable Sentinel. She will be available during Phase 1 and uses Electro as her element and a Rectifier as her weapon type. Her signature weapon, Blooming Jadehaven, will also appear in a separate Featured Weapon Convene.
Phase 2 will introduce Suoming, another new 5-star character. Suoming is an Electro Sword user and will arrive with her signature weapon, Unspoken Rue. With both new characters carrying the Electro element, Version 3.7 could significantly expand team-building options for players who enjoy high-energy combat rotations and elemental synergy.
Beyond the new characters and story content, Wuthering Waves Version 3.7 adds a permanent event called “Blooms for the Shadow.” The patch will also include five new Echoes, a new Tacet Discord Nest, and three new Sonata Effect sets, giving players more reasons to farm, experiment, and refine their builds.
Several limited-time events will run during the update as well. “Cubie Wars” offers a more casual leisure activity, while “Artisan’s Search” focuses on combat challenges. The update will also feature the Solaris Starry Stage program, which celebrates fan-made creations from the Wuthering Waves community.
One of the biggest additions in Version 3.7 is Replay Mode. This new feature allows players to revisit Main Quests from Versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3 while keeping saved progress. For players who want to relive earlier story chapters, catch up on lore, or experience favorite moments again, Replay Mode is a major quality-of-life improvement.
Echo management is also getting a welcome upgrade. Eligible unequipped and non-upgraded Echoes will now stack automatically when they share the same type, Sonata Effect, and main stat. Each backpack slot can hold up to 999 Echoes, making inventory organization much easier for players who regularly farm Echoes and manage multiple builds.
Team management is being improved with a new 3D display mode for character lineups. Players will be able to switch between 2D and 3D presentations when viewing their teams. However, the 3D lineup display may not be available on every device, depending on hardware support.
The in-game camera system is also receiving improvements. Version 3.7 is expected to bring new handheld and selfie-style camera options, along with a freer tripod perspective that feels closer to a drone camera. Additional composition tools and environmental controls will allow players to adjust time, weather, and even foliage wind direction, giving screenshot enthusiasts far more creative control.
Another notable change is the introduction of a limited test for Tiered Client Resource Downloads on PC, iOS, and Android. Selected players will be able to choose between UHD, HD, and SD asset packages, helping them balance visual quality with download size and storage requirements. Players not included in the test will receive the HD package by default.
With new 5-star Resonators, a major story conclusion, a fresh region, improved Echo storage, Replay Mode, camera upgrades, and multiple events, Wuthering Waves Version 3.7 is shaping up to be a substantial update for both returning players and long-time fans. The launch on September 30 is likely to be a key moment for the game’s ongoing storyline and its evolving live-service experience.
