Vivo is getting ready to expand its popular V-series lineup with the Vivo V70 and a new, more powerful model called the Vivo V70 Elite. The V-series is best known for delivering strong camera features at mid-range pricing, but the V70 Elite looks like a major step up—especially for performance fans. It’s shaping up to be the first V-series phone to use a Snapdragon 8-series-class processor, putting it in a noticeably higher tier than previous V models.
Ahead of its official debut, the Vivo V70 Elite has surfaced on Geekbench, offering an early look at performance details. The listing, spotted by leaker @ZionsAnvin on X, appears to match the Vivo V70 Elite carrying the model number V2548. According to the benchmark entry, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a premium Qualcomm chipset introduced in 2024 that has already appeared in other performance-focused smartphones.
In Geekbench testing, the Vivo V70 Elite posts a single-core score of 1,973 and a multi-core score of 4,863. The same listing also points to 12GB of RAM and suggests the device will ship with Android 16, which would make it one of the earlier phones expected to arrive with that version out of the box.
Beyond benchmark clues, Vivo has also revealed several core specifications via the V70 Elite landing page. The phone is confirmed to feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, a combination that should appeal to anyone who values sharp visuals and fluid scrolling.
Cameras remain a big focus, and the V70 Elite leans heavily into that identity with a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera system. It includes a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and an ultra-wide lens (with its exact sensor details not yet specified). On the front, the phone is equipped with a 50MP selfie camera, aiming to deliver high-resolution shots for selfies and video calls.
Battery life also looks like a highlight. Vivo is packing the V70 Elite with a large 6,500mAh battery, paired with 90W wired fast charging for quicker top-ups—an especially useful combo for heavy camera use, gaming, and long days away from a charger.
As for style choices, the Vivo V70 Elite is set to launch in three colors: Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black. While Vivo hasn’t confirmed an exact release date yet, the phone is widely expected to debut later this month, making it one of the more interesting upcoming Android launches for buyers who want a camera-first phone without sacrificing flagship-level performance.
