Venus Vacation PRISM: Dead or Alive Xtreme

Venus Vacation PRISM: A New Chapter Without DLC Expansion

Exciting news for fans of the Dead or Alive series, as the highly anticipated Venus Vacation PRISM: Dead or Alive Xtreme is gearing up for its release in March 2025. However, for those eager to see more content beyond the initial launch, there’s a slight twist. According to a conversation with Yasunori Sakuda, the game’s producer, there are no current plans to release any post-launch DLC.

Venus Vacation PRISM marks the first time the series delves into the world of dating simulators under the collaborative effort of Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja. The developers are focusing on delivering a robust storyline where players can choose to get to know various characters in a more intimate setting. The team wants to ensure that players enjoy the unfolding narrative and character interactions as they are interwoven with the primary story.

Sakuda elaborated on the complexities of introducing new characters after release, mentioning that incorporating additional romantic interests would necessitate a significant overhaul of the existing storyline. Such changes would require reimagining the entire game, which might be more suitable for a future sequel rather than mere DLC.

Yet, there’s a glimmer of hope for those longing for more content. Sakuda hinted at the possibility of adding new episodes, contingent on the feedback gathered from players once the game is available. While he couldn’t guarantee any future additions, he assured fans that the team would thoughtfully consider their options.

Scheduled for a March 6, 2025 release, Venus Vacation PRISM: Dead or Alive Xtreme will be available on Windows PC and PlayStation consoles, supporting both Japanese and English. And for collectors, a multilingual physical edition can be pre-ordered.

Venus Vacation PRISM is sure to be an intriguing addition to the Dead or Alive franchise, even without the promise of future DLC, drawing in players with its unique twist on the beloved series.
