V-Color Unveils Innovative LCD-Equipped DDR5 Memory Module with Massive 256 GB Capacity

It seems the future of memory modules is about to take an exciting turn with the integration of LCDs, a concept recently showcased by V-Color. LCD displays have already become a common feature across various PC components, from CPU coolers to power supplies, and now they’re making their way to memory modules.

At a recent tech event, V-Color unveiled a range of their memory products, emphasizing their expertise in this field. The company is enhancing their offerings by securing high-quality SK Hynix ICs for the latest DDR5 UDIMM and CUDIMM modules, aiming to push performance boundaries even further.

Among their impressive lineup, V-Color introduced high-capacity DDR5 memory modules, including the RDIMM series. They are pioneering the market with overclocked DDR5 RDIMMs, boasting capacities up to 256 GB. These flagship modules reach speeds of 6000 MT/s with a CL38 timing and 1.35V. Additional offerings include 128 GB and 96 GB kits.

However, the standout highlight was the Manta Sky Xfinity module design, featuring an LCD integrated into the heatspreader. This innovative addition maintains a high-end heatsink and a prominent RGB diffuser on top. The LCD can display crucial data such as memory capacity, voltage, frequency, and CPU details, enhancing the overall user experience. During the showcase, the memory was operating in the 200S Boost mode, optimizing performance for Arrow Lake CPUs.

Similar to V-Color’s filler RGB modules, the integrated LCD module comes as a single piece in the kit, a practical choice since multiple displays become redundant when stacked. While still in the prototype phase, further developments on this intriguing design are expected in the coming months.
