Samsung is set to elevate its next-generation non-Ultra smartphones with a promising battery boost for the Galaxy S26 Edge and Galaxy S26 Pro. These upcoming models are anticipated to surpass their predecessors in power capacity, offering a welcome improvement for users.
Reports indicate that Samsung plans to phase out the base Galaxy S26, introducing the Galaxy S26 Pro as a more advanced option. If insights from Galaxyclub.nl hold true, this model will feature a 4,300 mAh battery, a notable increase from the 4,000 mAh found in the standard Galaxy S25. However, it remains lower than the 4,900 mAh of the Galaxy S25+. While an upgrade in charging speed would be ideal, it may be exclusive to the Ultra variant.
The Galaxy S26 Edge follows suit with a bump from a 3,900 mAh to a 4,200 mAh battery. This enhancement is expected to improve battery life, especially appealing as the S26 Edge might sport a slimmer design than previous models.
As the launch is still some months away, details about the Galaxy S26 Pro and S26 Edge remain scarce. Some reports suggest they might feature Samsung’s next-gen Exynos 2600 processor, while others hint at continuing with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 for Galaxy. Whatever the case, these battery enhancements are a promising step forward for Samsung’s upcoming devices.
