The series draws elegant inspiration from “roses that bloom in adversity,” perfectly encapsulating resilience and beauty in one. This collection showcases three distinct models: the DW-5600RS-8JF, the GMD-S5610RS-8JF, and the BGD-565RS-8JF, each with unique features and designs.
The G-Shock DW-5600RS-8JF sports a captivating blue theme, adorned with a thorny stem pattern that frames its digital display. This watch is packed with functionality, boasting a 1/100-second stopwatch, a timer, and multiple alarms. It also features the LED Super Illuminator backlight, creating a beautiful rose design that makes timekeeping a breeze, even in low light. With a size of 48.9 mm (approximately 1.9 inches), this model promises durability with a five-year battery life.
A close cousin in design, the G-Shock GMD-S5610RS-8JF flaunts a vibrant yellow hue accented with silver, making a vivid style statement. Slightly more compact at 45.7 mm (around 1.8 inches), it shares similar specifications with the DW-5600RS-8JF but has a shorter battery life of about three years. Priced at around ￥15,400 (roughly $100), it offers a mix of aesthetics and practicality.
Completing the elegant trio is the Baby-G BGD-565RS-8JF, featuring a charming pink and silver color palette. This model retains the signature thorny stem and backlit rose motif while being the most compact at 42.1 mm (approximately 1.7 inches) in diameter. Although the Baby-G’s water resistance is rated at 10ATM compared to 20ATM for the others, its price point of ￥11,550 (about $75) makes it an accessible option for watch enthusiasts.
Currently, there is no official word on when these watches might become available in markets beyond Japan, including the US. Until then, fans might consider exploring other watches in the G-Shock 5600 series, which blend durability with classic design.
