Ultrahuman Emerald Update Brings AI Health Coaching, Offline Insights and Smarter Fitness Tracking
Ultrahuman is rolling out Emerald, its biggest platform update so far, bringing a redesigned app experience and a major upgrade to how users understand their health data. The free update focuses on making wellness insights more practical, personalized and easier to act on, instead of leaving users to analyze numbers on their own.
At the center of the Emerald update is UltraSphere, a new AI-powered decision engine designed to deliver personalized health recommendations. It can generate more than 60 “Next Best Action” suggestions based on key body signals such as sleep quality, recovery, heart rate variability, skin temperature, cycle phase and glucose data. It can also consider external factors like location, weather and a user’s daily routine.
The goal is to turn complex health metrics into simple, useful guidance. For example, instead of only showing a lower recovery score or sleep pattern change, the app may suggest getting morning sunlight, reducing caffeine later in the day, adjusting workout intensity or prioritizing rest.
Emerald also improves how the Ultrahuman app handles data. More processing now happens directly on the device, which means users can continue accessing insights even when they are offline. This shift should make the app faster, more reliable and more useful in everyday situations where internet access is limited.
The update introduces a cleaner app design with redesigned navigation, along with light and dark modes for a more comfortable user experience. Fitness tracking has also been improved, with better workout detection and enhanced heart rate tracking for Ultrahuman Ring Air and Ring Pro users.
Another key upgrade is a more accurate VO₂ Max algorithm, designed to give users a clearer view of their cardiovascular fitness. Ultrahuman says the improved model has been validated through laboratory testing, making the metric more useful for people tracking endurance, training progress and long-term fitness.
Emerald also expands compatibility with third-party wearables and health devices, including Apple Watch, Garmin and WHOOP. This makes Ultrahuman’s platform more flexible for users who already rely on multiple fitness or health-tracking devices.
The update adds several new tools aimed at real-time and long-term health monitoring. Live View provides real-time health tracking, while Sleep Screener helps users better understand sleep quality and potential sleep issues. A new Longevity section focuses on long-term wellness trends, and contextual notifications are designed to offer more relevant prompts throughout the day.
Ultrahuman is also expanding its AI capabilities through Jade, giving users more intelligent support inside the app. Combined with UltraSphere, these additions show a stronger push toward AI health coaching that goes beyond passive tracking.
With Emerald, Ultrahuman is positioning its platform as more than a wearable companion app. The update brings together AI recommendations, offline processing, improved fitness and sleep tracking, broader device support and real-time health monitoring in one major release.
The Emerald update is available for free to all Ultrahuman users.
