In exciting news for gaming fans, Aniplex, alongside co-developers Too Kyo Games and Media.Vision, has unveiled a brand-new demo for their thrilling adventure, The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy, now available on the Nintendo Switch. What sets this demo apart is the seamless transition it offers, allowing players to carry over their progress and save data to the full game, enhancing the overall gaming experience.

The game, titled Project Extreme x Despair, is crafted by the creative forces behind the popular Danganronpa and Zero Escape series, promising an exhilarating journey filled with suspense and drama. Players are introduced to Takumi Sumino, an ordinary teenager residing in the seemingly mundane Tokyo Residential Complex, until bizarre monsters descend upon the town, shattering its calm.

Amid the chaos, a peculiar entity named Sirei emerges, granting Takumi the extraordinary power to safeguard his loved ones. However, this power comes with a chilling requirement: Takumi must stab himself in the chest for it to activate. This dramatic turn of events catapults him into the mysterious Last Defense Academy, an enigmatic school encased in a supernatural inferno. Here, Takumi and 14 fellow recruits join forces as the Special Defense Unit, entrusted with defending the school from grotesque invaders over a tense 100-day period.

As players dive into this gripping narrative, they will face thrilling challenges and weighty decisions. The game boasts 100 intense endings fueled by despair, with each of Takumi’s choices potentially leading to unforeseen consequences. Defensive battles require skill and strategy as players must leverage the unique Specialist Skills of each student to protect the school effectively.

During calmer moments, players can strengthen bonds with team members or explore the intriguing environments beyond the academy walls. Items discovered during exploration can be transformed into thoughtful gifts, fostering deeper connections with allies.

The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy is set for a simultaneous release in the West and Japan on April 24th, available on Windows PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch. Whether you’re a fan of suspenseful adventures or strategic gameplay, this game promises to deliver an unforgettable experience.
