TCL has launched two new premium OLED monitors in China, and they could attract serious attention from creators, gamers, and anyone looking for a high-end display without paying Apple Studio Display prices.
The new models are part of TCL’s X3B OLED+ lineup and include a 27-inch TCL 27X3B and a larger 32-inch TCL 32X3B. Both monitors use Tandem WOLED technology, promising strong brightness, rich color performance, and fast refresh rates. The 27-inch model, in particular, appears to be positioned as a much more affordable alternative to Apple’s 27-inch Studio Display.
Apple’s Studio Display is known for its sharp 5K Retina panel, 600-nit brightness, and premium design, but it starts at a much higher price. TCL’s 27X3B takes a different approach. Instead of focusing on 5K resolution, it delivers a QHD panel with a much faster 280Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 1,500 nits. That makes it especially appealing for users who want a monitor that can handle both creative workloads and high-speed gaming.
The TCL 27X3B also features a low-reflection coating, which should improve visibility in bright rooms or studio setups. TCL claims the display covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 color space, making it suitable for photo editing, video work, design, and other color-sensitive tasks. The monitor also includes built-in speakers tuned by B&O, adding another premium touch for users who prefer an all-in-one desktop setup.
TCL has also emphasized low latency with what it calls fast frame technology. Combined with the 280Hz refresh rate, the 27X3B could be a strong option for gamers who want OLED contrast, high brightness, and smooth motion without stepping into ultra-expensive display territory. Its overall design also appears to follow the clean, minimalist style often associated with premium productivity monitors.
The larger TCL 32X3B OLED+ raises the performance ceiling even further. It also uses a Tandem WOLED panel and offers a 480Hz refresh rate mode, although that setting lowers the resolution to Full HD. For competitive gamers, that trade-off may be worthwhile, as ultra-high refresh rates can provide a smoother and more responsive experience in fast-paced titles.
For users who prefer sharper visuals, the 32-inch model also supports a 240Hz mode at UHD resolution. That gives it more flexibility than the 27-inch version, making it suitable for both gaming and professional work. Like the smaller model, it reaches up to 1,500 nits peak brightness, includes a low-reflection coating, and covers 99.5% of the DCI-P3 color range.
Another advantage of the 32X3B is its stronger connectivity. The larger monitor includes a more generous port selection, including USB-C with up to 90W power delivery. That makes it a practical choice for laptop users who want a cleaner desk setup with fewer cables.
Pricing is one of the biggest highlights of TCL’s new OLED monitor lineup. The 27-inch TCL 27X3B is priced at CNY 3,699, which is roughly $546. The 32-inch TCL 32X3B costs CNY 6,499, or about $959. At these prices, TCL is offering high-end OLED performance at a much lower cost than many premium monitors currently on the market.
For now, both monitors have been introduced in China. However, TCL often brings many of its display products to international markets, so a global release could follow later. If these models launch worldwide with similar pricing, they may become some of the most compelling OLED monitors for buyers looking for high brightness, wide color coverage, fast refresh rates, and premium styling at a more accessible price.
