Tank Chair Anime Reveals Main Cast, Character Promo Video, and Fall 2026 Release Window
The highly anticipated anime adaptation of Tank Chair has revealed its main voice cast alongside a new character promo video, giving fans their first exciting look at the upcoming action-packed series.
Based on the superpowered action manga by Manabu Yashiro, Tank Chair first launched in 2022 and has quickly built a strong following. The manga has now surpassed one million copies in circulation, making it one of the standout modern action titles to watch. The anime adaptation was officially announced in March by Bandai Namco Filmworks, and anticipation has continued to grow ever since.
The Tank Chair anime will be produced by Polygon Pictures, a studio well known for its impressive 3DCG animation work on titles such as Ajin and Knights of Sidonia. With the manga’s intense combat, dark humor, and unusual premise, the studio’s visual style could bring a distinct edge to the adaptation.
The newly announced main cast includes several notable voice actors:
Nagi Taira will be voiced by Kouki Uchiyama, known for Devilman: Crybaby.
Shizuka Taira will be voiced by Minori Fujidera, known for Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku.
Naozumi Kurosaka will be voiced by Gakuto Kajiwara, known for Enen no Shouboutai.
Touko Kurosaka will be voiced by Saori Hayami, known for Spy x Family.
Tank Chair follows Shizuka Taira, a girl who accepts dangerous assassination jobs, though she is not the one who carries them out. The real killer is her brother, Nagi, a powerful assassin who was left in a coma after taking a bullet to protect her. Now confined to a wheelchair and unable to wake normally, Nagi responds only to one thing: killing intent.
Shizuka discovers that exposing her brother to deadly enemies may be the key to bringing him back. This sets the siblings on a brutal and chaotic journey filled with assassins, life-or-death battles, and a very unusual path to recovery.
Blending high-stakes action, dark comedy, and a unique sibling dynamic, Tank Chair has the potential to become one of the most talked-about anime releases of 2026. The series is currently scheduled to premiere in Fall 2026.
