Substack Debuts Exclusive Audio Livestream Service

If you’re a Substack publisher who prefers to keep things low-key during livestreams, there’s great news for you. Substack has just unveiled an audio-only livestream feature, perfect for those who want to connect with their audience without the pressure of being on camera. It’s also a fantastic option for those who wish to maintain anonymity.

To utilize this feature, simply click the camera icon to disable video when you start your live session. You can switch the video back on at any point. Importantly, your listeners can still interact with comments and subscribe just as they would in a traditional livestream.

This exciting new feature is set to roll out next week. It follows Substack’s decision in January to open up livestreaming to all publishers, expanding access beyond the initial group of select creators with over 100 paying subscribers.
