Sony Unveils Fresh Lineup of Games Coming Soon to PlayStation Plus

Sony has revealed a fresh wave of games heading to PlayStation Plus, giving subscribers more to look forward to beyond the usual monthly lineup. The announcements came during the latest State of Play presentation, where PlayStation showcased upcoming titles from its own studios as well as third-party developers.

The event included new trailers, gameplay footage, and release date updates, but PlayStation Plus members received a particularly exciting update. Several games are now confirmed to be joining the service over the coming months, including a major day-one release for PS Plus Extra and multiple classic titles for PS Plus Premium.

These newly announced games are separate from the current PlayStation Plus Monthly Games. Instead, they are scheduled to arrive gradually in the months ahead.

One of the biggest reveals is Runescape: Dragonwilds, which will launch on PlayStation 5 as a day-one PlayStation Plus Extra title in Fall 2026. The game is a survival crafting adventure set in the Runescape universe, offering players exploration, resource gathering, building, and combat in a fantasy world filled with danger.

Runescape: Dragonwilds first arrived on PC in April last year and quickly gained attention from players. Its strong reception makes it one of the more notable upcoming additions to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog, especially for fans of survival games, crafting systems, and fantasy RPG experiences.

PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers are also getting new titles through the Classics Catalog. Sony confirmed three classic games that will be added over the next few months.

Gitaroo Man is the first of the newly announced classics. Originally released in June 2001, this rhythm game has built a cult following thanks to its unique style, memorable soundtrack, and fast-paced gameplay. It is expected to arrive in the PlayStation Plus Classics Catalog later this month.

Another upcoming addition is Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. This action game originally launched on PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC, and it stands out for blending gunplay, stealth, and psychic powers. Players can use telekinesis and other mind-based abilities to overcome enemies and solve combat encounters. Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy is scheduled to join the Classics Catalog in July.

The third classic title confirmed for PlayStation Plus Premium is Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams. Originally released for PlayStation 2 in 2006, this action RPG is the sixth entry in the Onimusha series. The story takes place decades after Onimusha 3: Demon Siege and continues the franchise’s mix of sword-based combat, supernatural enemies, and historical fantasy themes. Sony plans to add Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams to the Classics Catalog in August.

With these announcements, PlayStation Plus subscribers have a varied lineup to anticipate. PS Plus Extra members can look forward to the arrival of Runescape: Dragonwilds as a day-one PS5 release, while PS Plus Premium users will gain access to a trio of older fan-favorite titles.

The upcoming additions also highlight Sony’s continued focus on expanding the value of PlayStation Plus across its different tiers. Whether players are interested in modern survival crafting adventures or classic PlayStation-era games, the service is set to receive several noteworthy updates in the months ahead.
