Publisher Nacon and developer KT Racing have unveiled a new content roadmap for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown. The game’s “Year 1” post-launch downloadable content will begin on its release day next month and includes four seasons of updates.
Overview of the content roadmap:
Season 1 – Launch Content (Starting September 12, 2024)
The Solar Crown competition will be available right from the start. Players can participate in a series of races and intense challenges to earn Solar Points and rise through the ranks, aiming to become the next Solar King or Queen. This season will feature 60 player levels, 50 clan progression levels for Sharps/Streets, and a free 25-level Solar Pass that offers various rewards, including cosmetics and an exclusive car.
Season 2 – Return of Ibiza
The second season reintroduces Ibiza, a location familiar to fans of TDU2. This city and its outskirts have been meticulously recreated at a 1:1 scale using the KT Engine, providing a different experience compared to Hong Kong Island. Set to launch three months after the game’s release, this season will offer 20 new clan progression levels, a Solar Pass, new rewards, and exclusive cars, including five revamped car models.
Season 3 – Clan War Game Mode
The third season focuses on a rivalry between the Sharps and the Streets, taking place across Hong Kong Island and Ibiza. This season will introduce the Clan War game mode and add 30 new clan progression levels along with seasonal content updates.
Season 4 – The Casino
The fourth season brings back the Casino, a favorite feature from Test Drive Unlimited 2. This updated version will allow players to gamble virtual currency on various activities like poker and slot machines. It will also introduce 50 player levels and offer exclusive new cars, cosmetics, and rewards.
Additional Updates
Throughout Year 1, there will be updates to improve the overall gameplay experience, including enhancements to cameras and steering wheel animations in first-person view. The developers are dedicated to maintaining the game’s activity for years to come, taking player feedback into account. Fan-requested features, such as Real Estate and motorcycles, are currently under consideration.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown is set to launch on September 12th for Windows PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
