Curious about the destination of his donation, TikToker Moe.Ha placed an AirTag in a sneaker before dropping it off at a Red Cross bin in Munich. Using Apple’s Find My app, he tracked the sneaker’s unexpected journey. To his surprise, after five days, the sneakers had crossed multiple borders, landing in a thrift shop in Bosnia—800 kilometers from their starting point.
Initially, the journey seemed suspect, but it turned out to be part of the Red Cross’s donation process. The sneakers, traveling through Austria, Slovenia, and Croatia, were eventually sold for 10 euros in Bosnia. Intrigued, Moe visited the store and found the sneakers on display. He learned from an employee that they were delivered by a boss living in Germany.
