Speculation suggests that Samsung’s initial plan to reduce its reliance on Qualcomm by utilizing a dual-chipset strategy could face obstacles amid reported challenges in achieving sufficient yields of the 3nm process, which is designed for the Exynos 2500.
With performance tests indicating that the Exynos 2500 potentially outperformed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the implications of such production hitches are significant. Samsung’s difficulty in mass producing the Exynos 2500 with low production costs could lead to an unexpected monopoly of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 powering the anticipated Galaxy S25 flagship models.
