Samsung Galaxy S26 FE leaks early with a fresh edge-to-edge camera design
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has appeared ahead of schedule, giving fans an early glimpse at what could be Samsung’s next “affordable flagship” smartphone. A real-world image tied to the model number SM-S741 has surfaced through a Wireless Power Consortium listing, suggesting the device is already in development ahead of its expected 2026 launch.
The biggest talking point is the redesigned rear camera layout. While the Galaxy S26 FE still follows Samsung’s familiar clean and minimalist design language, it appears to introduce a more distinctive camera strip that stretches closer to the edge of the back panel. The raised camera island looks similar to the style seen on recent Galaxy Z Fold models and newer mid-range Galaxy phones, but its placement gives the S26 FE a slightly different identity.
Compared with devices such as the Galaxy A57, the camera strip on the Galaxy S26 FE seems to sit farther toward the side of the phone. This gives the rear design a more modern and premium appearance, helping Samsung’s FE lineup stand out more clearly from its standard Galaxy A series models.
Under the hood, early rumors suggest the Galaxy S26 FE will bring a solid upgrade over the Galaxy S25 FE. The phone is expected to use Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. If accurate, this should offer strong everyday performance for gaming, multitasking, photography, video streaming, and long-term software support.
One of the most interesting details is the software. The Galaxy S26 FE is rumored to ship with Android 17 out of the box, which could make it one of the first Samsung phones to launch with the new operating system. That would also likely mean the device receives Samsung’s latest One UI features from day one.
As for the release date, Samsung may reveal the Galaxy S26 FE during a major summer launch event, possibly alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. A July 22 announcement has been rumored, though a later release in August or September 2026 is also possible. Samsung could choose a September launch window to position the Galaxy S26 FE against other major flagship phones expected around the same time.
The Galaxy FE series has become popular because it offers many flagship-style features at a lower price than Samsung’s premium Galaxy S models.
