A recent report has shed light on what we might expect from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7, particularly in terms of its memory options. While tech enthusiasts have been eagerly anticipating major upgrades, it seems like Samsung may be focusing its improvements elsewhere. The Galaxy Z Flip7 is rumored to maintain the same peak memory specifications as its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip6, offering max configurations of 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
Last year, Samsung surprised users by equipping the Galaxy Z Flip6 with 12 GB of RAM, matching it with the Galaxy Z Fold series. However, rumors suggest this memory configuration will remain unchanged in the new model, even as competitors like some models of the Xiaomi Mix Flip offer 16 GB of RAM.
When it comes to storage, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is expected to mirror its predecessor, with options of 256 GB or 512 GB, while the Galaxy Z Fold7 likely surpasses it with a 1 TB version. Unfortunately, it seems that expandable storage via microSD cards won’t be available with the Z Flip7. In terms of pricing, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is anticipated to come with similar price points as previous models, reflecting the minimal changes in hardware.
In the camera department, don’t hold your breath for any dramatic changes. The Galaxy Z Flip7 is likely to continue with the same setup: a 50 MP primary camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 10 MP front-facing camera.
As for the internal processor, there’s some speculation about whether Samsung will use their new Exynos 2500 or stick to the tried-and-true Snapdragon 8 series, possibly an Elite version specifically for Galaxy. Though previous predictions about the chipset in other models have been inaccurate, it’s still unclear what Samsung will choose for this device.
All in all, while it doesn’t appear that Samsung is pushing for monumental leaps with the Galaxy Z Flip7, fans of the series can still look forward to refined improvements and perhaps some surprises as the official launch approaches. Keep an eye out for announcements as we inch closer to the release date.
