Samsung is shaking things up with the upcoming release of the Galaxy S25 FE, planning an earlier launch than usual. Traditionally, Samsung rolls out its premium Galaxy S series in January, followed by the budget-friendly FE model around September. However, this year is taking a surprising turn.
During a recent earnings call, the Korean tech leader hinted at a strategic shift. Daniel Araujo, VP of Samsung’s Mobile Experience division, announced intentions to launch the S25 FE sooner, aiming to keep the sales momentum strong with timely promotions.
Historically, the Galaxy S24 FE was announced in late September 2024, hitting the shelves in early October. If this pattern holds, we could expect the S25 FE announcement as soon as August, making it available by early September.
Samsung’s second-half lineup for 2025 looks promising. In addition to the S25 FE, new entry-level A-series smartphones and the next Galaxy Tab are anticipated. Excitingly, Samsung is also set to unveil its first tri-fold smartphone and introduce the XR headset, Project Moohan, later this year.
As for the Galaxy S25 FE, leaks suggest new design and color options with choices like Navy, Ice Blue, Jet Black, and White, moving away from the previous Blue, Graphite, Gray, Mint, and Yellow. Equipped with a 4,900 mAh battery and 45W fast charging, it promises robust performance, featuring a 6.7-inch AMOLED LTPO display with full-HD+ resolution.
This shift in Samsung’s release strategy could mark an exciting change for tech enthusiasts, offering innovations sooner and sustaining engagement with their flagship series throughout the year.
