Reviving Touch Bar: New Crowdfunding Effort Targets Windows and Mac Users

Introducing the Flexbar, a novel gadget aiming to revolutionize your tech experience by blending innovation and design. This new device features an impressive 2K AMOLED display, boasting a resolution of 2,170 x 60 pixels on a sleek 10-inch screen. Its compact and stylish design is encased in a robust aluminium alloy, making it not only sturdy but lightweight at just 71.7 grams.

One of the standout features of the Flexbar is its built-in haptic feedback, powered by a 500 mA battery, which provides tactile feedback, enhancing user interaction. To maximize user comfort and convenience, the Flexbar can easily be attached to a magnetic stand, allowing for improved ergonomics during use.

Currently, ENIAC Technology offers access to the Alpha version of the FlexbarDesigner tool through their Kickstarter campaign. This tool is available for download, although only in a Windows version, with the MacOS version still under development.

Exciting developments lie ahead, as ENIAC plans to launch a plugin system and marketplace by Q2 2025, expanding the Flexbar’s capabilities. For those eager to get their hands on this innovative piece of technology, the Flexbar is available for an early bird price of approximately $119 on Kickstarter, with shipping anticipated for February 2025.

While the Flexbar has already surpassed its initial funding goal, it’s important to keep in mind that timelines for both hardware and software releases are subject to change. However, this hasn’t dampened enthusiasm for this intriguing project, as tech enthusiasts eagerly await its official debut. Keep an eye on this space as the Flexbar continues to develop and push the boundaries of interactive technology.
