Elements Destiny Brings Retro 2D Fantasy RPG Adventure to PC and Consoles in Fall 2026
Publisher Deck13 and developer ShrooMoon UG have announced that Elements Destiny, a retro-inspired 2D fantasy RPG, is planned for release in fall 2026. The game is coming to Windows PC via Steam and GOG, as well as Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
Elements Destiny blends classic JRPG-style storytelling with tactical turn-based combat, pixel art visuals, and modern gameplay improvements. A new trailer has also been revealed, offering a closer look at the world of Solitas, its heroes, and the dark threat rising once again.
The story takes place years after a danger that many believed had faded into legend. Peace in Solitas is shattered when a mysterious stranger named Airic O’ Fory arrives with a terrifying warning: another Dark Foray is coming. If it cannot be stopped, Solitas may fall, and the world itself could be consumed.
At the center of the journey is Erika, one of the descendants of the Clans of Elements. She is among the few with the power to stand against the coming darkness, but she cannot do it alone. To have any chance of survival, she must seek out others chosen by destiny and unite them before it is too late.
Players will guide Erika on a dangerous quest across an unpredictable fantasy world filled with monsters, hidden fears, emotional conflicts, and characters whose choices may reshape the story. Alongside companions such as Lia, Maline, and Karen, Erika must build a team strong enough to face the Dark Foray and uncover the truth behind the threat looming over Solitas.
Elements Destiny puts a strong focus on party dynamics, character growth, and emotional storytelling. The heroes are not only allies in battle but also companions who support one another through the challenges they face. The adventure promises moments of danger, humor, friendship, betrayal, and personal discovery.
Combat is built around tactical turn-based battles, where players must use strategy, elemental abilities, and party synergy to defeat a wide range of creatures and enemies. The developers aim to keep battles exciting throughout the experience, combining old-school RPG structure with a more energetic feel.
The game is also designed for fans who enjoy deep role-playing systems. Players can expect crafting mechanics for weapons, potions, and trinkets, along with classic RPG progression and exploration. While Elements Destiny draws inspiration from the golden era of Japanese role-playing games, it also includes modern quality-of-life features and tighter controls to make the experience more approachable.
One of the game’s biggest promises is its size. Elements Destiny is expected to offer more than 70 hours of gameplay, driven by a large-scale fantasy story and a heavy emphasis on character development.
The presentation combines retro pixel art with detailed hand-drawn artwork, giving the game a nostalgic but polished visual identity. The soundtrack is another major part of the experience, featuring over 100 tracks created to match different locations, battles, emotional scenes, and dramatic story moments.
Elements Destiny will also include professional German voice acting, with more than 40 voice actors bringing the characters to life. The German voice track will be available across all supported languages, giving players the option to experience the performances regardless of their chosen text language.
With its mix of classic RPG charm, tactical battles, emotional storytelling, and a massive fantasy world to explore, Elements Destiny is shaping up to be a notable release for fans of retro 2D role-playing games. The journey to save Solitas begins in fall 2026 on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation platforms.
