Renault Megane E-Tech Gets Updated Lineup, Longer Range Appeal, and Smarter Tech
Renault has refreshed the Megane E-Tech with a more focused lineup, upgraded equipment, and a strong value proposition for drivers looking for a stylish electric hatchback with everyday practicality. The latest version starts at around €34,990 for the Techno trim, including 19% VAT, while the sportier and more premium Esprit Alpine is priced from €37,990.
For this updated model, Renault has simplified the buying process by offering one battery and powertrain combination across the range. Instead of a complicated list of configurations, customers can now choose between two well-equipped trims: Techno and Esprit Alpine.
The Renault Megane E-Tech Techno trim comes with a generous list of standard features designed to improve comfort, convenience, and usability. Inside, the cabin includes leatherette dashboard accents, a heated steering wheel, and the OpenR link infotainment system with a large 12-inch display. Built-in Google services are also included, giving drivers access to familiar apps and navigation tools directly through the vehicle’s interface.
Renault has also added an EV route planner, making long-distance electric driving easier by helping drivers plan charging stops more efficiently. A digital rearview camera and new 19-inch alloy wheels further enhance the Techno trim’s appeal. The exterior color selection has also grown, with seven paint options now available. One of the newest additions is Satin Slate Blue, giving the Megane E-Tech a fresh and modern appearance that should appeal to buyers looking for something more expressive.
Technology is a major part of the refreshed Megane E-Tech experience. Both trims use Renault’s OpenR link system with a 12-inch screen and integrated Google services, including Google Maps and the Play Store. A future software update is expected to bring the Gemini AI assistant to the infotainment system, adding another layer of voice-controlled convenience and smart functionality.
Renault has also added a ventilated Qi2 wireless charging pad for smartphones. This update is especially useful for drivers who rely heavily on wireless charging, as ventilation can help reduce heat buildup while keeping devices powered during the journey.
