RedMagic Shadow Blade Gamepad 2.0 Launches Globally

The gaming landscape is evolving, and RedMagic is pushing the envelope with the global launch of its Shadow Blade Gamepad 2.0. This gaming accessory promises to elevate the mobile gaming experience, bringing a console-like feel to smartphones such as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, RedMagic’s 9 Pro, or the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. By emulating the style of a Legion Go, the gamepad aims to provide a more immersive gaming session.

RedMagic’s second generation Shadow Blade Gamepad has been designed for enhanced comfort and grip, featuring updated arms that easily attach to either side of a smartphone in landscape mode. Each side houses a durable joystick, fortified with Hall sensors to eliminate common joystick issues like drift and missed inputs. This ensures precise and smooth gameplay across a variety of mobile titles.

Beyond the joysticks, gamers can expect familiar button layouts, including cross and XYAB buttons, all positioned for intuitive access. The gamepad also boasts upgraded triggers on the back. These triggers come with both Hall linear (mechanical) and fast (touch-responsive) modes to cater to different preferences and ensure the best possible shooting feedback.

Customizability is further enhanced with programmable rear buttons, allowing gamers to tailor their control schemes to their liking. Meanwhile, the Gamepad 2.0 includes an adjustable-angle USB-C port that promises zero-latency gaming, a crucial aspect for competitive gameplay.

RedMagic also brings a novel aesthetic touch to the Shadow Blade Gamepad 2.0 with its interchangeable magnetic shells. These allow users to choose between a classic black or a transparent look for the controller arms. However, it remains unclear if these shells are included with the purchase or available separately.

The Shadow Blade Gamepad 2.0 can now be ordered directly from RedMagic, with pricing set at €94.90 in Europe and $94.90 in the US and Canada. While the price tag is significant, it’s currently positioned below the cost of RedMagic’s original mobile controller and the Razer Kishi V2 available on Amazon, potentially offering a more value-oriented choice for serious mobile gamers.

With extensive experience writing about the latest in technology and gadgets, RedMagic’s innovative gamepad is yet another stride in mobile gaming accessories that stands to change how we play and interact with our favorite mobile games.
