Realme 15T lands in India: budget-friendly phone with Dimensity 6400 and a massive 7,000mAh battery

Realme 15T launches in India as the newest member of the Realme 15 series, stepping in as the direct successor to the 14T with a fresh design and a bigger battery aimed at all‑day users. While the front remains familiar, the rear gets a striking makeover with an iPhone 16 Pro-style camera layout, headlined by a 50 MP main shooter (f/1.8) supported by a 2 MP depth sensor. Selfie lovers get a 50 MP front camera for sharper portraits and video calls.

Under the hood, the 5G-ready Realme 15T runs on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6400 paired with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage, plus up to 14 GB of dynamic RAM expansion. It ships with Realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15.

Battery life takes center stage this generation. The 15T packs a larger 7,000 mAh cell—up from 6,000 mAh on the 14T—designed for heavy users and travelers. Charging is 60 W wired, which is a touch slower than some siblings but aims to balance longevity and speed.

The display is slightly more compact than before, moving to a 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with a crisp 2372 x 1080 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness. Despite the bigger battery, the phone is slimmer and lighter at 158.3 x 75.19 x 7.79 mm and around 181 g, making it more pocket-friendly.

Other highlights include an in-display optical fingerprint sensor, dual speakers with OReality audio, and robust protection with IP66/68/69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Color options include flowing silver, suit titanium, and silk blue.

Realme 15T price in India:
– 8 GB + 128 GB: INR 18,999 (around $215)
– 8 GB + 256 GB: INR 22,999 (around $260)

Availability starts September 6 in India via Realme’s official website.

Quick take: If you want a budget 5G phone with a premium design, massive 7,000 mAh battery, smooth 120 Hz AMOLED, and a high-resolution 50 MP selfie camera, the Realme 15T stands out as a compelling pick in the sub-20K segment. It trades peak charging wattage for endurance, trims the screen slightly for better ergonomics, and brings a cleaner, more modern rear design—making it a balanced upgrade over the 14T for everyday performance and battery life.
