New leaks are giving smartphone fans an early look at what could become one of Xiaomi’s most battery-focused global releases yet: the Poco X8 Pro Max.
According to the latest findings from tipster PaperKing13, the Poco X8 Pro Max won’t mirror the massive 9,000 mAh battery expected on the Redmi Turbo 5 Max. Even so, the Poco model is still tipped to land with an enormous 8,550 mAh battery capacity. If that figure holds true at launch, it would easily rank among the largest batteries on any Xiaomi phone sold globally, making it a standout option for people who prioritize long screen-on time, gaming sessions, travel-friendly endurance, and fewer charging breaks during the day.
Battery size isn’t the only part of the story. The Poco X8 Pro Max is also expected to support 100W wired fast charging, which should help balance that big capacity with quick top-ups. In other words, it’s shaping up to be a phone that aims to last longer and recharge faster—an ideal mix for heavy users.
There is, however, one likely trade-off. Going by what’s been seen with the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, the Poco X8 Pro Max may skip wireless charging entirely. If that turns out to be accurate, buyers will be looking at a phone designed primarily around maximum battery life and fast wired charging rather than cable-free convenience.
With an 8,550 mAh battery rumor and 100W wired charging on the table, the Poco X8 Pro Max is already generating attention ahead of its global debut—especially among users who want a true battery champion without constant reliance on a charger.
