As Google’s upcoming event draws near, excitement is building over the anticipated announcements, particularly the Pixel 10 series and the next-generation Pixel Watch 4. Buzz around the tech world suggests some intriguing upgrades are on the horizon, with the Pixel Watch 4 generating a fair amount of interest due to its nifty new charging feature.
A recent leak has unveiled a bold shift in the Pixel Watch 4’s charging design. Traditionally, the charge point was located on the back, but Google appears to be shaking things up by relocating it to the left side. This new design sets the charging area opposite the digital crown and includes two small metal pins nestled in a slight dip on the side.
This innovative side-mounted charging approach not only opens up more room on the back of the watch for enhanced health features, like advanced sensors and wellness tracking, but it also offers the convenience of checking the device while it’s charging on a desk or nightstand. Additionally, it might even support faster charging speeds over previous models.
Another advantage of this design is improved repairability. By freeing up the back panel, accessing internal components becomes easier, simplifying the repair process. Although the new charging dock will be included, it’s important to note that the USB-C power adapter will need to be purchased separately.
As the Made by Google event approaches, anticipation is high for these exciting updates to Google’s tech lineup, with the Pixel Watch 4’s innovative features leading the charge.
