Philips Introduces 34″ Curved VA Office Monitors with Advanced Connectivity and High Refresh Rate

The latest offerings from Philips in office monitors, the 34B2U6603CH and 34B2U5600C, are set to hit the market with impressive features tailored for enhanced productivity and seamless multitasking. The monitors, boasting a 34-inch curved screen with ultrawide display capabilities, are anticipated to become available for purchase around mid-August, with prices tagged at £599.99 and £439.99 respectively.

Philips’ new ultrawide office monitors are both equipped with a 34-inch 1500R curved VA screen, providing an immersive viewing experience with a WQHD resolution of 3440×1440 pixels. The 6000 series 34B2U6603CH model raises the bar with exceptional features catered to users who require the best in display technology and connectivity.

The sleek design of the 34B2U6603CH includes thin bezels for an uninterrupted visual field. Highlighting its cutting-edge features, the monitor offers DisplayHDR 400 support, ensuring dynamic and finely detailed images. In terms of connectivity, the monitor shines with the inclusion of a Thunderbolt 4 port allowing for swift data transfers and device connections.

The VA panel delivers a 4ms GtG response time and an impressive 120Hz maximum refresh rate, creating fluid motion for all types of content. The connectivity is robust with DisplayPort 1.4 and Thunderbolt 4, supporting 120Hz refresh rates at full resolution, while the HDMI option provides up to 100Hz refresh capability. The monitor achieves peak brightness up to 450 nits in SDR and 550 nits when HDR is enabled. The rich color gamut coverage boasts 101% NTSC and 120% sRGB, paired with excellent color accuracy.

For the comfort of the users during long work sessions, the unit features an EyeSafe mode, coupled with Adaptive-Sync technology to prevent screen tearing. It also integrates a 2.5G LAN connection, along with a comprehensive USB hub including multiple USB 3.2 ports, Thunderbolt 4, and additional USB-C ports for convenient connectivity.

Alternatively, the 34B2U5600C model from the 5000 series mirrors many features of its 6000 series counterpart but does not support HDR and dispenses with the Thunderbolt 4 port. It does however extend the NTSC color gamut coverage to 104% while maintaining the same 120% sRGB range.

For refresh rates, this model is capable of up to 120Hz through its DisplayPort 1.4, although the HDMI remains at a 100Hz maximum. The connectivity options, while excluding Thunderbolt 4, still offer a 1G LAN port and a USB hub with multiple Type A and C ports. It also facilitates power delivery up to 100W via its USB C 3.2 Upstream port.

In addition to these features, both monitors are equipped with Smart KVM to facilitate device switching and come with an Audio/Microphone combo jack for a complete multimedia setup.

The Philips 34B2U6603CH and 34B2U5600C monitors promise to be valuable additions to the office environment, enhancing workflow with their broad screens, ergonomic design, and versatile connectivity. Consumers eager for an upgrade to their workspace will find these monitors hitting the shelves soon at their respective price points.
