Philips Hue Introduces New Dymera Wall Light for Indoor and Outdoor Use

Philips Hue has expanded its range of smart home lighting solutions with the announcement of the new Dymera indoor and outdoor wall light. This versatile smart light fixture features a dual-lighting system with both an upper and lower light element. Users have the capability to control each element separately or in unison, allowing for creative lighting combinations such as a colored glow from the top and a warm white light emanating from the bottom.

Controlled via the recently enhanced Philips Hue app, this innovative wall light offers 16 million color options for personalized ambiance. In addition to color customization, users have the ability to wirelessly dim the lights, group Dymera with other Philips Hue fixtures into zones, and activate pre-set scenes for a tailor-made lighting experience.

For outdoor usage, the Dymera wall light integrates seamlessly with the Philips Hue Bridge, unlocking additional features such as convenient voice control through popular smart home ecosystems, including Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Apple HomeKit. The Bridge also facilitates automatic firmware updates to keep the device running smoothly. Bluetooth compatibility is an added convenience for users preferring a direct connection method.

Boasting a luminosity peak at 1,020 lumens and offering color temperature settings ranging from a cozy 2,000K to a crisp 6,500K, the Philips Hue Dymera is designed to be a long-lasting lighting solution. Signify, the company behind Philips Hue, estimates the lifespan of the light to be approximately ten years, or 25,000 hours, with a replaceable LED light source that should be handled by professional services.

The Philips Hue Dymera showcases a sleek black metal casing with dimensions of 94 x 230 x 160 mm (approximately 3.7 x 9.0 x 6.3 inches) and an IP44 weather-proof rating, ensuring it is resilient enough to withstand rain and other outdoor conditions.

Set to be available at a retail price of $219.99, £199.99, or €219.99, the release date for the Dymera wall light has not yet been announced. Interested buyers can stay informed on availability by signing up for email notifications on the Philips Hue website, ensuring they don’t miss the launch of this sophisticated lighting option.
