Peanut Unveils New Pregnancy Tracking Feature on Its Women’s Social Network

Peanut, the innovative social networking app designed exclusively for women, is making waves with its latest feature aimed at enhancing the pregnancy experience. Introducing Peanut Track, a powerful tool crafted to assist women by providing insightful and anticipatory guidance throughout their pregnancy journey. This development comes after seven years of understanding and analyzing the myriad of questions posed by users on their platform, harnessing AI to address the specific concerns of expectant mothers.

Since its inception in 2017, Peanut has been steadfast in its mission to foster connections among women at various life stages, from the trials of puberty to the challenges of menopause. Now venturing into exciting new territory, Peanut is extending its support to pregnant women by offering personalized advice tailored to each unique pregancy stage.

Historically, Peanut has thrived as a community-centric platform where women share experiences and find support. However, with the unveiling of Peanut Track, the app ventures into providing tangible utility — empowering women to track and manage their pregnancies privately and effectively.

According to Peanut’s CEO and founder, Michelle Kennedy, this move aligns perfectly with their community ethos. “We’ve always been about community,” Kennedy shared, emphasizing the balance between seeking peer engagement and sourcing credible information. With Peanut Track, the app anticipates the questions users are likely to have, based on years of similar inquiries from their extensive user base.

The new feature provides expectant mothers with expertly curated content on what to anticipate during their pregnancy, reinforced by medical knowledge from gynecologists. Additionally, Peanut Track covers common pregnancy metrics, such as fetus size comparisons — from a tiny peach to a pumpkin — along with potential symptoms users may encounter.

Steering clear of losing its community focus, Peanut Track continues to foster connections by linking users with women sharing similar pregnancy timelines. This ensures that the sense of community remains intact, even as users access individual insights.

This feature was born out of user demand. Peanut’s responsive approach involves engaging its vibrant community to understand their needs and co-create solutions that meet their expectations.

Looking beyond pregnancy, Peanut is paving the way for more women-focused features. In the pipeline is Peanut Grow, set to launch next year, which will support new mothers in tracking key developmental milestones and address their own well-being.

Kennedy highlights the importance of this project: “You can track your feed and your poops and all the other things that you have to do when you have a newborn. But also, what about you? How are you doing? How’s your mood?” The upcoming feature aims to tackle postpartum challenges by offering not just diagnosis but also community-driven solutions.

With substantial financial backing, Peanut has secured $32 million in funding to date, achieving profitability with a $10 million investment last year, and previously raised $12 million in 2020. As Peanut continues to grow, its commitment to supporting women at every life stage remains unwavering.
