OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro Launch in India: Smarter AI, Stronger ANC, and Extended Battery Life

OnePlus has officially introduced the OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro in India, revealing a refreshed look and several notable upgrades aimed at better sound, stronger noise cancellation, and longer battery life. The new true wireless earbuds replace the Nord Buds 3 Pro from July 2024 and arrive with a slightly higher launch price.

The Nord Buds 4 Pro keep an in-ear fit but switch to a new design and come in two color options: Radiant Gray and Raven Black. OnePlus says the earbuds feature 12mm titanium-coated drivers that deliver significantly more power than the previous generation, a change that should translate into punchier audio and improved clarity across different types of music and content.

A major highlight is upgraded active noise cancellation. OnePlus rates the Nord Buds 4 Pro at up to 55dB ANC, claiming a 200% improvement over the prior model. Users can choose between three ANC levels—Light, Moderate, and Maximum—and the earbuds can also adjust in real time depending on your surroundings, helping you stay focused whether you’re commuting, working, or walking through a busy area.

Call quality also gets attention with a total of three microphones per earbud. These mics work alongside a proprietary AI-based algorithm designed to identify and reduce common distractions like wind and traffic noise, which can make voice calls sound cleaner in outdoor or noisy environments.

For listeners who care about higher-quality wireless audio, the Nord Buds 4 Pro are Hi-Res Audio certified and support LHDC 5.0. They also include 3D spatial audio along with a Game Sound spatial audio mode, aiming to improve immersion for movies and make in-game audio cues feel more directional.

Pairing is designed to be seamless across platforms, with support for Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, making it quicker to connect to compatible Android devices and Windows PCs.

Battery life is another strong selling point. OnePlus claims up to 54 hours of total playback with the charging case, though real-world results will depend on whether ANC is enabled and whether you’re streaming using AAC or LHDC. Fast charging is included as well, with OnePlus stating that a 10-minute charge can deliver up to 13 hours of playback.

Pricing in India is set at ₹3,999 (around $43/€37/£32), which is a step up from the Nord Buds 3 Pro launch price of ₹3,299. The OnePlus Nord Buds 4 Pro go on sale starting March 23. For now, OnePlus hasn’t shared details about availability in other markets.
