NVIDIA is reaching out to its community for valuable feedback as it prepares for a significant transition. The tech giant is eager to understand which Control Panel features are most cherished by users. This call for input is part of the development of NVIDIA’s modern application, currently still in beta, which aims to take over roles such as graphics card control, driver updates, and display settings management.
Though the existing Control Panel is viewed as outdated, many users appreciate its straightforwardness and familiarity. In light of this, NVIDIA wants to ensure that the new app retains the essence of the Control Panel while offering a more modern and user-friendly experience.
Excitingly, NVIDIA plans to transition the app out of beta by the end of this year. This change marks the phasing out of the GeForce Experience software. The Control Panel’s role is evolving as well, and NVIDIA is inviting users to share which features they deem essential for migration into the new app. These features include Ambient Occlusion, Anisotropic Filtering, Texture Filtering options, various Antialiasing settings, Background Application Max Frame Rate, and Multi-Frame Sampled AA.
Interestingly, NVIDIA also encourages feedback on additional features that users would like incorporated into the app—especially if these are currently managed through other software. While the survey does not focus on display-related features, as these are either in planning or partially integrated, recent updates have already seen the inclusion of G-Sync controls and multi-monitor capabilities.
This outreach presents a valuable chance for users to influence the design and functionality of NVIDIA’s forthcoming software, ensuring it meets their needs and enhances their computing experience.
