NVIDIA Plans to End Production of RTX 4070 and Set Termination Dates for RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti

NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4060/Ti and RTX 4070 graphics cards are experiencing dwindling supplies, with the possibility of going out of stock soon. A recent report highlights that these GPUs may be nearing their end of life, as recent availability issues have cropped up in regions such as China. With the conclusion of this quarter, the GeForce RTX 4070’s inventory is expected to be completely depleted, and no additional units will be dispatched to retailers. Once these stocks are exhausted, consumers seeking the RTX 4070 will have limited options since restocks will cease.

The RTX 4060 and the 4060 Ti, however, will remain available for a brief period beyond February. The availability of the RTX 4060 is projected to last until March, though it’s worth noting that the RTX 4060 Ti might vanish from shelves sooner due to its already limited stock. Both these models will receive one final restock in February before their retirement.

Consumers are eagerly anticipating the future NVIDIA GeForce line-up, especially as rumors circulate about the upcoming RTX 5070. The existence of superior alternatives, such as the RTX 4070 Super, known for its compelling price-to-performance ratio, is one reason why older variants might soon be off the market. Meanwhile, the budget-friendly RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti models currently hold a significant position in NVIDIA’s offerings, with replacements in the Blackwell lineup expected soon.

Speculation suggests NVIDIA could introduce the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti in Q1 next year, facilitating a seamless transition from their 4060 counterparts. As anticipation builds for these new arrivals, NVIDIA enthusiasts might want to keep a close watch on the stocks, securing their preferred models before they become a part of history.
