MSI unveils ultra-compact GeForce RTX 5050 Inspire ITX GPUs for small form factor builds
If you’re building a powerful PC in a tiny case, MSI’s new GeForce RTX 5050 Inspire ITX series is designed with you in mind. The company has introduced two models—the Inspire ITX and Inspire ITX OC—that pack modern RTX features into a compact, two-slot, single-fan design without wasting a millimeter of space.
Measuring just 147 × 120 × 45 mm, these cards slip comfortably into mini-ITX and other SFF enclosures where larger GPUs simply won’t fit. Despite the size, connectivity stays up to date with three DisplayPort 2.1b ports and one HDMI 2.1b, making them suitable for multi-monitor setups and high-refresh gaming displays.
Under the shroud, both cards run Nvidia’s GB207-300 GPU with 2,560 CUDA cores and 8 GB of GDDR6 memory at 20 Gbps on a 128-bit interface. The core difference between the two is clock speed: the standard Inspire ITX boosts to 2,572 MHz, while the Inspire ITX OC nudges that to 2,602 MHz for a small out-of-the-box uplift.
Power draw remains modest for easy integration into compact rigs. Each card is rated at 130 W TDP and draws power through a single 8‑pin PCIe connector, with MSI recommending a 550 W PSU for system stability. That combination should help keep thermals and acoustics in check, even in tight cases.
Key specs at a glance:
– Models: GeForce RTX 5050 Inspire ITX (G5050-8II) and Inspire ITX OC (G5050-8IIC)
– Dimensions: 147 × 120 × 45 mm, dual-slot, single-fan
– GPU: Nvidia GB207-300 with 2,560 CUDA cores
– Memory: 8 GB GDDR6, 20 Gbps, 128-bit bus
– Boost clocks: 2,572 MHz (standard), 2,602 MHz (OC)
– Power: 130 W TDP, single 8-pin PCIe; 550 W PSU recommended
– Outputs: 3x DisplayPort 2.1b, 1x HDMI 2.1b
Who should consider it:
– SFF and mini-ITX builders who need modern RTX features in a compact, dual-slot footprint
– Living room PCs and HTPCs where space, thermals, and noise matter
– Creators and gamers seeking a clean, efficient build without oversized cooling hardware
MSI hasn’t announced pricing or release dates yet, but the Inspire ITX duo clearly targets enthusiasts who want contemporary GPU performance in the smallest possible package. In a market full of ever-larger cards, these space-saving options are a welcome addition for compact PC fans.
