MetaMech has introduced a new high-end 16-inch gaming laptop for 2026, aiming squarely at power users who want desktop-class performance in a portable form factor. The new MetaMech 16 2026 pairs AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with a sharp 2.5K IPS display running at a smooth 180 Hz, a combination that targets both competitive gaming and demanding creative workloads.
One of the biggest highlights is the hardware configuration. MetaMech equips the laptop with an enormous 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory and 2 TB of internal storage, positioning it as a serious option for heavy multitasking, large project files, and modern game libraries. Powering it all is a substantial 99 Wh battery, which is typically seen in premium performance laptops designed to balance speed with practical unplugged use.
Graphics performance is especially interesting here because the system relies on the Radeon 8060S integrated GPU. Thanks to the massive memory pool, the laptop can allocate up to 96 GB as VRAM, which could benefit certain graphics-heavy tasks, high-resolution texture workloads, and content creation scenarios that push beyond typical iGPU limits.
What makes the MetaMech 16 2026 stand out even more is the inclusion of OCuLink for external GPU expansion. OCuLink eGPU support is still relatively rare in laptops, and its presence suggests MetaMech is targeting enthusiasts who want the option to connect a more powerful graphics solution later on. For buyers who want a laptop today with a clearer performance upgrade path tomorrow, OCuLink can be a major selling point.
In China, the MetaMech 16 2026 is priced at CNY 22,999 (around $3,365). For now, global availability hasn’t been confirmed, so interested buyers outside China may need to wait for updates on international launch plans.
