Users can now enjoy HD video calls and voice isolation, boosting call quality to a new level. This enhancement can be toggled in the call settings menu, with HD calls becoming the standard over Wi-Fi and available as an option for cellular calls, ensuring crystal-clear connections.
A notable addition is the ability to leave audio or video messages, echoing the convenience of digital voicemail. If a call goes unanswered, you can simply hit the “Record message” button to leave a heartfelt audio or video note for your contact.
Meta is also embracing voice-activated functionality by integrating Siri into Messenger. With this feature, iOS users can effortlessly send messages just by calling out, “Hey Siri, send a message to Cassandra on Messenger,” and dictating the content, streamlining communication.
Another captivating feature is AI-generated backgrounds for video calls. Soon, users can tap the “effects” icon during a video call and select “Backgrounds” to craft a personalized visual theme, courtesy of artificial intelligence.
