Meizu 22 Debuts: Compact Powerhouse with Ultra-Slim Bezels and Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Around $420

Meizu 22 debuts as a compact flagship that puts display quality, performance, and charging speed front and center. Despite its small footprint, this Android 15 phone packs a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED panel with a crisp 1.5K resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Ultra-thin 1.2mm bezels deliver a striking 96.4% screen-to-body ratio, and the display can hit a stunning 6,000 nits peak brightness for better visibility in direct sunlight.

Under the hood, the Meizu 22 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, an 8-core 4nm chipset introduced in April 2025. It’s the same high-end platform found in devices like the Poco F7 and Nothing Phone (3), and it averages around 2,000,000 points in AnTuTu V10. To keep performance steady during gaming and heavy multitasking, Meizu uses a 4,500 mm² vapor chamber for cooling. The phone is available with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage, giving plenty of headroom for apps, photos, and video.

Photography gets a flagship-grade setup. On the rear, there’s a 50MP OV50H main camera with OIS for sharp, stable shots, a 50MP ultrawide for expansive scenes, and a 50MP periscope telephoto offering 3x optical zoom. On the front, a 50MP selfie camera handles portraits, video calls, and social snaps with high detail.

Battery life and charging are equally ambitious. The 5,510mAh battery supports 80W wired charging and 66W wireless charging, so top-ups are fast whether you plug in or go cable-free. The phone ships with Flyme AIOS 2 based on Android 15, and despite the power and large battery, it stays pocket-friendly at 8.15mm thick and 190g. Durability gets a boost with IP66/IP68 dust and water resistance. Color options include Borderless Black, White, and Love Pink.

The Meizu 22 is currently launching in China with four memory configurations. There’s no confirmation of a global release yet.
