Massive Rockstar Games Leak Reportedly Reveals GTA 5 Source Code, Canceled Liberty City DLC, and Early GTA 6 Assets
A huge cache of alleged internal Rockstar Games files has reportedly appeared online, giving dataminers a fresh look at canceled Grand Theft Auto content and possible early material connected to GTA 6. The archive is said to be around 192 GB in size and may represent a much larger version of the GTA 5 source code leak that first surfaced in December 2023.
The earlier leak was much smaller, reportedly around 4 GB, and mainly focused on code. At the time, rumors suggested that a far bigger archive existed behind the scenes. Now, this newly surfaced collection appears to match those claims, although much of the information is still being examined and has not been independently verified.
Most of the material reportedly centers on GTA 5 and content that never made it into the final game. One of the biggest discoveries involves LibertyV, the canceled single-player expansion believed to have brought Liberty City into GTA 5. While the name of the DLC had already appeared in earlier leaked files, the new information suggests the project may have been far larger than fans expected.
Dataminers have reportedly found an outline of the Liberty City map created for LibertyV. The shape appears to have been traced from shoreline audio zones, and early analysis suggests that this version of Liberty City may have covered a much bigger area than the city seen in GTA 4. If accurate, it points to an ambitious expansion that could have significantly expanded GTA 5’s single-player world.
Another major part of the alleged leak involves the long-rumored Agent Trevor DLC. Files reportedly reference dozens of mission names divided into different story arcs, including CIA, Korean, Russian, Arab, and Space-related sections. Some of the listed missions sound especially ambitious, including an underwater submarine base attack and a mountain base mission involving a jetpack.
Additional content reportedly tied to Agent Trevor includes interior locations such as a spaceship, a large underground complex, and an Arab mansion. These details line up with years of fan speculation that Rockstar once planned major story expansions for GTA 5 before shifting its focus toward GTA Online.
The leak also appears to include beta vehicles and early game assets. Among the reported discoveries is the police car shown in the original GTA 5 trailer, along with other unfinished vehicle models. Some early dialogue files are also said to be included, with reports claiming that certain lines had already been fully recorded before the content was cut or abandoned.
For GTA 6, the amount of material in the alleged leak seems much smaller. Some files reportedly include names referencing “Florida” and “Everglades,” which matches what fans already know about the upcoming game’s setting. However, these files do not appear to represent the full GTA 6 map. They may instead be low-detail assets or early development placeholders.
Some users have also shared what they claim are early 3D models of GTA 6 regions, possibly created in GTA 5’s engine before 2020. If genuine, these could offer a rare look at how Rockstar prototyped parts of its next open-world game during early development. Still, there is no confirmation that these assets are authentic, final, or even directly connected to the current version of GTA 6.
As expected, the Grand Theft Auto community is already digging through the files and comparing them with material from the 2023 leak. Some fans believe parts of the new archive overlap with previously leaked content, while others think it contains a much broader look at canceled Rockstar projects.
For now, everything should be treated with caution. The archive is unverified, and leaked development files often include outdated experiments, abandoned ideas, placeholder assets, and work-in-progress content that may not reflect Rockstar’s final plans.
Even so, the reported 192 GB Rockstar Games leak has sparked major interest because it may reveal just how much single-player DLC was once planned for GTA 5. Between the larger Liberty City expansion, the Agent Trevor missions, beta vehicles, recorded dialogue, and possible early GTA 6 map assets, the leak offers a fascinating glimpse into the studio’s unfinished projects and development history.
