LG has recently expanded its product lineup with the launch of its new MyView Smart Monitors in the United States, offering an array of devices that promise versatility and multifunctionality. The zenith of this range is the 32SR85U, a monitor that has been recognized with an Innovation Award at CES 2024 for its exceptional flexibility. This particular model features a highly adjustable stand that connects to a circular base at the back of the monitor.
The series also includes the 32SR53FS and 27SR50F models, which come with a more standard, sleek and compact stand, but still maintain a stylish design. These monitors are engineered to provide a range of functionalities that make them suitable for streaming, participating in video workouts, and handling various productivity tasks—all without the need for a PC, thanks to their integration of webOS 23.
The 32SR85U and 32SR53FS are both 31.5-inch displays, and both are marketed as 4K screens. However, it’s important to note that the 32SR85U indeed has a 3840 x 2160 resolution, while the 32SR53FS has a lower resolution of 1920 x 1080. Both these monitors can also serve as charging ports, offering up to 90W and 65W of power delivery through USB-C, respectively. The smaller 27SR50F model provides up to 45W of charging capability.
For content creators or enthusiasts, the 27SR50F might not be as appealing, as it covers just 72% of the NTSC color gamut. In contrast, the 32SR53FS achieves 99% sRGB coverage, and the 32SR85U hits 95% of the DCI-P3 color space. When it comes to brightness, the 27-inch model offers 350cd/m², while both the 32SR85U and 32SR53FS offer 400cd/m². However, all three monitors share a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
For consumers looking to purchase the new MyView Smart Monitors, the 27SR50F is the most affordable at $199.99, followed by the 32SR53FS at $229.99, and the premium 32SR85U priced at $599.99. These products are now available for purchase on LG’s website, with the 32SR85U and 27SR50F also listed on Amazon.
