Kidbash: Super Legend, a new roguelike action platformer from publisher Acclaim and co-developers Authentic Remixes and Fat Raccoon, is officially planned for release in early 2026. The game is coming to Windows PC via Steam and consoles, with store pages already available for wishlisting on Microsoft Store and PlayStation Store. Specific console platforms have not yet been fully confirmed.
The upcoming indie platformer is already drawing attention for its energetic combat, fast movement, and distinctive visual identity. Acclaim’s Director of Publishing and Strategic Partnerships, Marc Anthony Rodriguez, described Kidbash: Super Legend as feeling like a lost action classic from the PS3 and Dreamcast era, reimagined with a modern design approach. He praised the game’s personality, style, and gameplay, highlighting its claymation-inspired world, mash-up weapon combat, and bold indie spirit.
Kidbash: Super Legend takes players into the O.D.D., a strange world where forgotten heroes have been left behind. The story begins with the main character waking up without memories and failing to save the world around them. From there, the journey becomes one of rebuilding, growth, and discovering what it truly means to become a hero.
At its core, Kidbash: Super Legend is built around repeatable roguelike runs, where every attempt offers new combat possibilities, upgrades, and challenges. Players will fight through dynamic levels, defeat enemies, combine weapons, and unlock evolving builds that change how each run plays. Failure is not the end; it becomes part of the progression, helping players restore a destroyed village and unlock new systems that carry forward.
One of the game’s key features is its weapon-combining system. As players battle enemies, they charge their weapon system and fuse abilities into stronger forms. Different weapon pairings create different combat styles, encouraging experimentation across multiple runs. This means no two builds are expected to feel exactly the same, giving the game strong replay value.
Fast-paced platforming is also a major focus. Kidbash: Super Legend emphasizes precise movement, responsive controls, and timing-based action. Players will need to balance speed, positioning, and combat awareness as encounters become more difficult. The game is designed to reward skillful play while still offering long-term progression between runs.
The upgrade system adds another layer of strategy. During each run, players can choose from a randomized selection of enhancements that affect combat, movement, and weapon behavior. By stacking modifiers and evolving weapons, players can create powerful builds that push the action into chaotic and over-the-top territory.
Outside of combat, players will work to rebuild a village filled with forgotten characters. This village-building element is tied to progression, upgrades, and the broader story. As the player grows stronger, the world around them begins to change, reinforcing the game’s themes of recovery and transformation.
Kidbash: Super Legend will also feature memorable boss encounters, each with unique mechanics, abilities, and personalities. Interestingly, not every boss may remain an enemy forever, suggesting that some rivalries could evolve into alliances as the story unfolds.
With its mix of roguelike action, platforming, weapon fusion, persistent progression, and character-driven storytelling, Kidbash: Super Legend is shaping up to be a standout indie release for fans of fast combat and replayable adventures. Its stylized visuals, classic platformer inspiration, and modern roguelike systems could make it one to watch when it launches early next year.
