Red Art Games has unveiled “Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song Remastered International,” a refreshed re-release of the remastered version of the original Romancing SaGa game. Set to launch on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 in early 2025, this edition introduces new localizations in French, German, Spanish, and Italian, with both digital and physical availability.
A standard physical edition will be accessible through various retailers, while a limited collector’s edition will be exclusively available via Red Art Games in Europe and Video Games Plus in the Americas.
The original remastered game, first introduced in 2005 as a remake of the Super Nintendo classic, has been available since December 2022 on platforms such as Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and smartphones.
The game’s narrative takes players to the land of Mardias, a world created by the primordial deity Marda. Ages ago, a colossal battle took place involving Elore, the king of the gods, and three malevolent deities: Death, Saruin, and Schirach. Following a protracted struggle, Death and Schirach were sealed away, and Saruin was imprisoned using the power of the Fatestones and the heroic sacrifice of Mirsa. As 1,000 years have now passed, the scattered Fatestones have awakened a new age of darkness, and eight heroes embark on their own journeys across Mardias, with players deciding their fates.
Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song is known for its signature SaGa series elements like the Glimmer and Combo mechanics. At its core is the free scenario system that allows players to choose from eight protagonists with distinct origins and weave their unique stories. The remastered edition offers upgraded HD graphics and various enhancements to improve the overall gameplay experience. The game can now be fully enjoyed in French, German, Italian, and Spanish, making it accessible to a broader audience.
