HP EliteBoard G1a launches in North America as a powerful keyboard PC with Ryzen AI hardware
HP has officially brought the EliteBoard G1a to North America, giving users a compact keyboard-style PC that packs far more performance than typical all-in-one keyboard computers. First introduced at CES 2026, the EliteBoard G1a combines a full PC and keyboard into one device, offering a modern alternative to products like the Raspberry Pi 400 and Raspberry Pi 500.
Unlike many keyboard PCs designed mainly for basic computing, education, or lightweight productivity, the HP EliteBoard G1a is built around AMD’s newer Zen 5-based Ryzen AI Pro processors. That makes it a much more capable option for business users, remote workers, classrooms, digital signage setups, and anyone who wants a space-saving desktop without sacrificing performance.
The device was originally expected to arrive in March, but early availability was limited to select regions, including Hong Kong and Japan. HP has now expanded sales to North America, with configurations appearing in both Canada and the United States.
In Canada, HP is offering the EliteBoard G1a for CAD 2,609. That version includes an AMD Ryzen AI 5 Pro 340 processor, 24 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.
The United States gets a wider selection, with seven configurations available through HP. Pricing starts at $1,549 for a model with the AMD Ryzen AI 5 Pro 340, 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of SSD storage, and an attached USB Type-C cable. Other versions include Ryzen AI 5 Pro 330, Ryzen AI 5 Pro 350, and Ryzen AI 7 Pro 350 options, with memory ranging from 16 GB to 32 GB and storage generally topping out at 512 GB.
Some EliteBoard G1a models ship with a fixed USB Type-C cable, while others use a detachable cable design. This gives buyers a bit more flexibility depending on how they plan to deploy the device. All configurations include a 32 Wh built-in battery, which helps separate the EliteBoard G1a from many compact desktop alternatives.
HP is also including a 3-year warranty and Wolf Pro Security with the available configurations, positioning the device strongly for enterprise and professional environments. Third-party retailers in the US are also listing select models, with prices starting around $1,534 for an entry configuration featuring the Ryzen AI 5 Pro 340, 16 GB of RAM, and 256 GB of storage.
The EliteBoard G1a is currently sold in a single color option. While its design may look simple at first glance, the appeal is clear: it reduces desk clutter by placing the PC directly inside the keyboard. Users only need to connect a display, power, and peripherals to turn it into a complete workstation.
HP has not yet confirmed when the EliteBoard G1a will be widely available in additional regions such as Europe, although the product has appeared on regional HP websites. For now, North American buyers are among the first to get broader access to one of the most unusual and powerful keyboard PCs currently on the market.
